Description
Beautiful blue merle female with white and copper points and absolutey gorgeous eyes... one marbled brown and blue and the other brown. She stands 20 inches tall. Registered with ASCA and ASDR.
Extremely intelligent, loyal, conformationally correct, great maternal instincts and easy to train for our teenage daughter. Abby is always happy and one of the friendliest aussies you'll ever meet. She loves everyone of all ages and gets along great with other dogs as well. When in South Dakota, during the summertime, she loves to go with us to work cattle too. We bought Abby as a puppy, for our daughter, from a rancher in South Dakota that used his dogs to gather sheep. She loves to work nice and quiet and with her laid back style works great when moving cows with younger calves. Since Abby isn't an aggressive dog and loves to be with people, we couldn't ask for a better female for our daughter to train and grow up with.
Abby and her puppies have proven themselves to be extremely smart, friendly and eager to please which is a perfect combination for families with kids of all ages especially for 4-H projects. Abby's offspring have proven themselves to be very versatile. Some are working on farm/ranch cattle operations before they were even a year old. Others were shipped across the country and are living in urban areas like New York.
In our breeding program, we like to look to the long-term future when we plan for our modern day aussies... we find that the ultimate aussie for us is a versatile one. One that gets along with everyone and will be willing to do whatever is asked of them. In other words... quick and happy to learn while showing loyalty to their family members of all ages.
