2005 BLACK GELDING

Pedigree: JSL MR BLACK This is not an Impressive bred horse. Impressive Dell is an own daughter of Poco Dell and her dam Miss Impressive is a daughter of Two Eyed Jack.

15.1 hand 2005 Black Gelding that is very smooth and quiet. Came to the ranch alongside of the mare when we purchased her. He is double bred Poco Pine with a more modern build. I rode him a few times late last year in the round corral and didn't get back on him until June of this year. He has been on the fast track training and has handled everything with ease. I had him in the arena for 3 months and started putting miles in the pasture on him the last 60 days gathering and checking cattle. I am very pleased with the stamina and sense that this horse exhibits. He does well riding with other horses and has no problem going off by himself. He is out of a ring bit and doing fine in a shank bit, single reining. He breaks at the poll very well, gives to the rein and leg. Starting to cross his front legs and come around. He has a very good stop, gets under himself very well and is starting to get some speed in his backs. Right now I still pick him up two handed to turn a cow or do anything with alot of speed to help him with his confidence more than anything. He walks out well in the pasture. Handles terrain well. Has a very smooth trot and lope. He seems to have alot of speed also. I haven't asked him for all he has yet. He has never offered to buck and always wants to be your friend. I feel that anyone will be able to get along with him well. He is very trainable and has the tools to do anything his new owner wishes.

Check out the many pics below taken over Columbus Day weekend 2010. Jim and our college student, Kait, had fun that day saddling up and riding. We have more pasture pics from our camera phone that we will add as time allows over the next few days:).
