We want potential buyers to feel confident when they purchase a Lazy 3S puppy that we are offering the best customer service available. We know that there are alot of pups for sale in the world, but we want to go the extra mile to set our aussie program apart from the rest. Please take a few minutes and read our information so you can buy a Lazy 3S puppy with confidence. Please feel free to contact us, at any time, if you have any questions.
Puppies advertised on the Lazy 3S Ranch website are all out of standard sized purebred australian shepherds. Since the health and well-being of all our aussie adults and puppies is so important to us, hips and elbows of the breeding parents have been x-rayed and passed OFA testings. Parents are all registered with one or more of the following associations: ASDR, NSDR, UKC, AKC and/or ASCA.
All puppies, listed on our website, are sold with registration papers with one or more associations as listed in each puppy's description. We offer a choice at the time of purchase; either you can purchase one of our aussies with pet registration papers or with full breeding rights registration papers with the association(s) stated unless it is stated that the specific puppy is sold with only pet registration papers. Each puppy is priced accordingly. If a puppy is sold with pet registration papers then the new owner is advised and responsible for the arrangements associated with spaying or neutering their new pet with their local veterinarian.
We would be happy to answer any questions, upfront and along the lifetime of your aussie, you may have about the health and well-being of the puppy of your choice, airline or delivery information, vaccinations records, health guarantee, puppy's feeding routine etc... anything you can think of concerning your new puppy.
When you’re ready to reserve or buy the Lazy 3S puppy of your choice, please call or email us to make arrangements. We can only hold a pup for up to 3 business days while setting up initial payment arrangements or the puppy will need to be relisted.
Some new puppy owners prefer to pay in full for their new puppy. Others prefer to pay a 1/2 or 1/3 down deposit to reserve the puppy of their choice. Either way, please allow at least 4 business days from the time the final payment is paid by paypal.com for us to get the veterinary's health certificate for the airline and to reserve flight arrangements when shipping within the United States. Call or email about other timelines and requirements if we can ship to specific locations outside of the U.S.
The deposit does only reserve the one puppy of your choice, it does not reserve two or more puppies for any length of time. We describe in great details the physical and mental attributes of each puppy as they mature, to the best of our knowledge, to potential new puppy owners and try to find the best fit for each pup and their new family and their specific environment.
We happily accept personal checks, U.S. funds only, if we have at least 15 business days prior to pick-up, delivery or shipping. We also accept credit cards, debit cards and electronic checks through www.paypal.com. When paying by paypal, we only require your paypal email address to send you a paypal statement. Paypal is an excellent way to keep financial information safe and secure. If you're not already signed up with paypal, don't worry, the statement we email you will walk you through the fast and easy steps.
For the second and final payment, the buyer can either use paypal.com again or pay by cash if picking up or meeting partway for their puppy. We no longer accept an in-state or out-of-state check when meeting partway for any amount or when picking the puppy up here at our ranch. As we said before, we happily accept a personal check for final payment only if we have at least a minimum of 15 business days for the check to "clear" our bank prior to pick-up, delivery or shipping. If a buyer does not fullfill our lenient Lazy 3S payment arrangements and within the agreed upon time by both parties, then the original deposit if given, will be forfeited and the puppy will be relisted.
Buyer responsible for shipping, health certificate and crate expense, which in general, averages $325 for a total. At our South Dakota ranch, our closest airport is 40 miles away in Pierre. We currently ship through Great Lakes Airlines which takes the pups usually to Denver where they will connect up with Continental, United, Frontier or American Airlines. The price of each airline does vary some... the cheapest is Continental Airlines for $250. Depending on size of pup, most pups can fit in a $50 crate. Health certificate expense is $25.
The physical and mental welfare of our Lazy 3S puppies is our greatest concern. If the weather climate is extreme cold or hot throughout the year, we will use Continental Airlines so the pup will travel in climate controlled comfort for the entire trip from Pierre to their final destination. Length of flight times is also a concern for our puppies so comparisons are also made for the best flight schedule possible as well. Call or email us with your nearest airport location and we will call Great Lakes Air Cargo Facility for airline cost and flight schedule details and options. After we officially reserve a flight plan...we'll email the airway bill number, flight schedule, pickup location and other complete shipping details. When picking up your puppy, remember to take in your driver's license and print out the email with the airway bill's confirmation number and take it along with you as well.
All puppies react differently in the first few minutes of meeting their new family after a flight. Some are happy to get out of the crate and others are shy which is totally normal...either way just take it slow and one step at a time. After a few days of rest and routine at their new home, they will start showing off more and more of their true personalities as they get more comfortable and understand their new boundaries, surroundings and that you and your family are their new caregivers:).
Most puppies stay clean during a flight, but sometimes a puppy and/or its crate gets soiled. Just remember to take along a couple of bath towels, paper towels, disinfectant wipes and some water for cleanup. Also, take along enough water for the puppy to sip. Maybe a hard and soft toy for comfort as well. After you get your puppy, take the lil guy or girl to an area where you can walk the puppy with the leash that will be enclosed in a bag on the top of the crate. Walk, play and exercise your puppy then just let the puppy sip enough water to get home. Add a bit of food that will also be attached to the top of the crate, in the bowl, for the trip home. Oh, and in all the excitement, please remember to give us a quick call, text or email, as soon as possible, so that we know that you're lil one arrived safe and sound:).
After we receive the puppy's registration application from the association(s), we will forward it to you as soon as possible after we receive it and after we receive payment in full, if the puppy is being shipped. Otherwise we will wait and hand it to you in person when we meet. Along with the puppy's registration application(s), we will also email, mail or hand you a bill of sale receipt showing puppy's and parents registration information, date, purchase price, puppy vaccinations and de-worming records.
We would be happy to answer any questions that you may have concerning our aussies. We will also update our website frequently, but if you would like us to take specific photo(s) of the puppies, feel free to email from our "Contact Us" page or call 605-222-8510.
